​We're thrilled to announce the launch of the Tructyre Assessor Program, a major step forward in how we welcome experienced technicians to our team.

This new program, a collaborative effort between our Operations, Technical Training, and L&D teams, is all about efficiency and safety. Its primary goal is to significantly reduce the time it takes to safely and effectively onboard new, qualified technicians. This ensures every employee starts strong—not just with the right skills, but with the confidence of knowing they meet our high safety and technical standards from day one.

How the New Program Fast-Tracks Onboarding

The biggest change is how we validate prior experience.

Instead of waiting for traditional, scheduled end-point assessments, the new Assessor Program allows for local, real-time sign-offs. Here’s how it works for a technician who already has industry experience and qualifications:

1. Online Induction: They start with an initial induction completed through our online learning platform.

2. Real-Time Assessment: They are then paired with a regional assessor who evaluates their work on live jobs.

3. Instant Feedback: Assessment evidence is captured instantly via our online platform and sent directly to the Technical Training team for immediate review, ensuring our standards are consistently met.

This process eliminates unnecessary waiting periods, allowing experienced hires to move into their full roles much faster.

A Path for Everyone

While the program is designed to fast-track experienced technicians, it also supports development for all:

• For the Skilled but Unqualified: The program provides a clear pathway for those who are highly skilled but may not yet hold a complete qualification. It offers them an opportunity to earn a full, industry-recognised certification.

• For New Entrants: For individuals with no prior experience, we continue to offer our in-depth, supported development courses to help them gain the new skills and certifications needed to successfully start their career with us.

Investing in Our Assessors

To ensure the success and integrity of this new system, we recently completed a comprehensive two-day training session for our new team of regional assessors. This intensive training, co-facilitated by an L&D Business Partner, Technical Trainer, and Lead Technical Trainer, provided them with the necessary skills and understanding to effectively review and validate our required standards.
