Customer Service Specialist

Gateshead

£25,625 per 

37.5 hours per week, across Saturday to Tuesday between 8am-8pm

We’re looking for Customer Service Specialists to join our busy Customer Experience Centre (CEC). If you enjoy helping people, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced environment, this could be the role for you.

The Customer Service Specialist role:

  • Taking inbound customer calls and creating work requests.

  • Making outbound calls to depots to schedule jobs and provide updates.

  • Producing accurate invoices using our internal systems and customer platforms.

  • Resolving queries and complaints with ownership and urgency.

  • Communicating across phone, email, and customer portals.

  • Meeting individual and team KPIs such as call handling, accuracy, and productivity.

Requirements as a Customer Service Specialist:

Essential:

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Confident using computer systems (including Microsoft Excel).

  • Experience handling high volumes of calls in a busy environment.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with SLAs and KPIs.

  • Previous call centre or office admin experience.

  • Knowledge of UK geography and mapping systems.[Text Wrapping Break]
